Our leaders are friendly, encouraging and passionate about girlguiding. Most of our leaders attend Jesmod Parish Church so will also spend some time discussing bits from the Bible alongside other guiding activities.

Friday Bible Study
A daytime Bible study for women
An informal day-time Bible study group to support JPC women of any age (no crèche). We aim to grow in faith and fellowship through Bible study and prayer with and for each other. We hope to challenge and encourage each other to keep on walking with God and better equip ourselves.

Scouting is underpinned by the principles - duty to God, duty to others and duty to self. We enjoy making things, playing games, listening to stories, trying new things, gaining badges, going places and most importantly - having fun making new friends.

Cubs
Cubs is all about doing great things, loving and enjoying great adventures and helping others to do the same. It's about 'doing your best', and we recognise this in our badge scheme. Cubs is also about learning by doing things, working in groups, and trying out new things. Cubs is a movement with a purpose and everything we do is about helping Cubs keep their promise to 'Do my best to do my duty to God and the Queen, to help other people and keep the cub scout law'. Cubs is for everyone - join in the adventure!

11-14s youth event
Pool...table tennis...football...the world-famous Mix tuck shop...plus the chance to slow things down & hear from God's word every week.
You'll find us in the church building from 5.30pm. It can be tricky to find your way in so just follow the crowd! It's 50p entry on the door, plus you might want to bring a little extra cash for the tuck shop. We'll wrap up at 7.30pm prompt to make sure parents aren't waiting outside for ages. From football tournaments to film nights, cook-offs to ceilidhs, plus a great Bible talk every week... House is what your Saturday nights have been waiting for!
You'll find us in the church building from 8pm. It can be tricky to find your way in so just follow the crowd! It's £2 entry on the door, but it's free if it's your first time with us. Scramblers
Our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 30+ months
Scramblers is our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 30+ months. Doors open at 10:20am (10mins before the service starts) and we will have lots of free play time including playdough, building blocks, cars, trainset, home corner, books and puzzles; then a short talk from the Bible, some singing and a prayer, plus a creative activity.

CYFA
14-18s Bible study
Come join us for CYFA! We study the Bible together in small groups, seeking to discover what God is saying about life today. If you're not in a CYFA small group just get in touch and we can set you up. It's open to everyone in school years 10-13 (or equivalent), so feel free to invite your mates along too.
You'll find us at 3 Osborne Road at 4.30pm: we'll be at the door to meet you. We wrap up at 6pm in time to enjoy the incredible CYFA Tea together before heading off at 6.30pm. Some folk head home, but a lot of us dash across to church in time for the evening service: why not stick around for that too?

A group for mums-to-be and parents/carers with babies
Bumps and Babies is for mums-to-be and parents, grandparents and carers with babies. We provide a large, fun and safe environment for you and your child to enjoy a variety of free play and structured activities. The session costs £1.50 per family (payable on the day).

Students small group and Bible study
Focus is our midweek Bible study for undergraduate students! Join us from 5.45pm for a cuppa and some soup, followed by a short talk and the chance to chat. Then from 6.30 we gather together in small groups to get stuck into a bit of the Bible!

Equip: Doctrine
Christian Doctrine - part 2: Salvation, the church and the future
This EQUIP: track allows you to study in a flexible way, based on your own availability. Ideally you will already have studied doctrine 1, but it is not a prerequisite.
It is a 9 week course, delivered online from Crosslands involving 15-20 hours of self study (approx 1.5-2 hours per week).
Course materials include readings, video, reflections, prompts for prayer, JPC group discussion and ways to apply your learning. The EQUIP: Doctrine group will meet for a facilitated discussion, in person, 3 times across the course. The dates for these discussions will be chosen by the group once signups complete.
Sign up by 24th April & complete the course by the end of the school term
