      Scouting is underpinned by the principles - duty to God, duty to others and duty to self. We enjoy making things, playing games, listening to stories, trying new things, gaining badges, going places and most importantly - having fun making new friends.

      n.b. From the 5th of November Beavers will go back to meeting in the church hall.

      Cubs is all about doing great things, loving and enjoying great adventures and helping others to do the same. It's about 'doing your best', and we recognise this in our badge scheme. Cubs is also about learning by doing things, working in groups, and trying out new things. Cubs is a movement with a purpose and everything we do is about helping Cubs keep their promise to 'Do my best to do my duty to God and the Queen, to help other people and keep the cub scout law'. Cubs is for everyone - join in the adventure!

      Pool...table tennis...football...the world-famous Mix tuck shop...plus the chance to slow things down & hear from God's word every week.

      Now that legal requirements on e.g. social-distancing and face-masks have been lifted, we intend for The Mix to return as close as possible to normal. We'll still observe systems for good hygiene, but other than that it'll be The Mix you know and love! You no longer have to book: just come on down and pay the usual 50p entry on the door. And invite your mates: that's what The Mix is all about!

      From football tournaments to film nights, cook-offs to ceilidhs, plus a great Bible talk every week... House is what your Saturday nights have been waiting for!

      Now that legal requirements on e.g. social-distancing and face-masks have been lifted, we intend for House to return as close as possible to normal. We'll still observe systems for good hygiene, but other than that it'll be the House you know and love! You no longer have to book: just come on down and pay the usual £2 entry on the door. And invite your mates: that's what House is all about!

      This morning Pete Alston will be preaching on 'The Gift of God' from John 4:1-42 - God restores lives and reunites people; that's the theme of todays talk as Pete takes us through John 4. Pete also shares part of his testimony and how one family's faithful prayer over him brought him to Jesus.

      Our baby and toddler crèches are for children from birth to 18 months (baby crèche) and 18 to 24 months (toddler crèche). Doors open at 10:50am (10mins before the service starts) and children will be able to enjoy playing with our wide variety of toys and equiptment. There will also be a Bible time and craft for the toddlers each week.

      Children will be warmly welcomed and cared for by an experienced team leader and team of helpers, all of whom are regular church members who have been DBS (police) checked.

      Our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 24+ months

      Scramblers is our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 24+ months. Doors open at 10:50am (10mins before the service starts) and we will have lots of free play time including playdough, building blocks, cars, trainset, home corner, books and puzzles; then a short talk from the Bible, some singing and a prayer, plus a creative activity.

      Climbers is our Sunday Group for children in Reception - Year 2. The Climbers start off in church for the first 10 minutes of the service. Then the service leader will send them through to the main hall where they'll be met by our Climbers leaders. The rest of the session will include games, creative activities, a Bible talk, memory verses and more!

      Explorers is our Sunday Group for children in Year 3 - 6. The Explorers start off in church for the first 10 minutes of the service. They'll then be sent through to the main hall where they'll be met by our Explorers leaders. The rest of the session will include games and activities, a Bible talk, discussion and prayer in small groups and more!

      Join us at Pathfinders for relevant & fun Bible teaching, small group discussion to help us hear what God is saying to us today, & of course crazy games! 

      Now that legal requirements on e.g. social-distancing and face-masks have been lifted we intend for Pathfinders to return as close as possible to normal. The one change (for now) from how we used to run is that you'll now come directly to Pathfinders rather than sit in the first 10mins of the church service. So come to 3 Osborne Road any time from 10.45am onwards. We'll be there to meet you and will make sure you get back to church at the end of the service to find your parents. See you there!

      Come join us for CYFA! We study the Bible together in small groups, seeking to discover what God is saying about life today. If you're not in a CYFA small group just get in touch and we can set you up. It's open to everyone in school years 10-13 (or equivalent), so feel free to invite your mates along too.

      Now that legal requirements on e.g. social-distancing & face-masks have been lifted we intend for CYFA to return to normal. We'll still observe systems for good hygiene, but other than that it'll be proper CYFA, including the return of CYFA Tea! So come on down! Plus stay on for the 6.30pm service afterwards if you can - a lot of us head across together. See you there!

      This evening David Holloway will be preaching on 'Giving and Receiving' from Philippians 4:10-23 - As we delve into this last section of Philippians, we learn that even though this letter was a 'thank you' to the church in Philippi for their financial support to Paul, in chapter 4 Paul's main focus isn't money. His aim seems to have been to encourage Godly living, church growth, and changing the people! We're also celebrating and sharing what God has been doing in the lives of those in our congregation over the past year!

      Bumps and Babies is for mums-to-be and parents, grandparents and carers with babies. We provide a large, fun and safe environment for you and your child to enjoy a variety of free play and structured activities. The session costs £1.50 per family (payable on the day).
