Students small group and Bible study

Focus is our midweek Bible study for undergraduate students! Join us from 5.45pm for a cuppa and some soup, followed by a short talk and the chance to chat. Then from 6.30 we gather together in small groups to get stuck into a bit of the Bible!

God's Big Picture on Tuesday

Bible Overview Course

The God's Big Picture Bible overview course traces the story of the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation to see how it all fits together, telling of God's wonderful plan to save the world through Jesus Christ.

Each of the nine units consists of a 10-minute video followed by a Bible study. It's free and held on Zoom, so you can join wherever you are.

This three session shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about the present.

Toddler Group

A group for parents and carers with toddlers and pre-schoolers

Toddler group is for parents, grandparents and carers with toddlers and pre-school children. We provide a large, fun and safe environment for you and your child to enjoy a variety of free play and structured activities. The session costs £2.50 per family (payable on the day).

World Mission Connect

Come and hear an update from Bethany Agnew (serving as a midwife in Zambia) and Jock and Katy Hughes (translating the Bible into the Indonesian language of Dobel). Bethany is back for a short break, and Jock and Katy are celebrating reaching the incredible milestone of completing the translation of the New Testament! Both will be with us in person, so join us in church if you can, but there is an option of joining the meeting on Zoom too (contact the church office for details).

If you are able, you’re welcome to come at 7:15pm for a meal (£2) and a chance to catch up over some food. Please book for the meal by 10am Wed 15th November. You do not need to book if you only plan to come to the meeting.

A Bible study for recent graduates

For those who have graduated in recent years, or are in their final year of a longer degree, we run Transit - a Bible study group which aims to support those starting work, looking for work, or pursuing further study. The group meets three weeks out of four in a church member's home close to JPC. All are welcome!

Cubs is all about doing great things, loving and enjoying great adventures and helping others to do the same. It's about 'doing your best', and we recognise this in our badge scheme. Cubs is also about learning by doing things, working in groups, and trying out new things. Cubs is a movement with a purpose and everything we do is about helping Cubs keep their promise to 'Do my best to do my duty to God and the Queen, to help other people and keep the cub scout law'. Cubs is for everyone - join in the adventure!

Our Bible teaching will be on the topic of work and rest, a great opportunity to learn wisdom from God's Word on areas so essential to life during the 20s-30s years!

It's 50p entry on the door, plus you might want to bring a little extra cash for the tuck shop. We'll wrap up at 7.30pm prompt to make sure parents aren't waiting outside for ages. Baby/Toddler Crèche

Our crèches for children from birth to 30 months

Our baby and toddler crèches are for children from birth to 18 months (baby crèche) and 18 to 30 months (toddler crèche). Doors open at 10:20am (10mins before the service starts) and children will be able to enjoy playing with our wide variety of toys and equiptment. There will also be a Bible time and craft for the toddlers each week.

Children will be warmly welcomed and cared for by an experienced team leader and team of helpers, all of whom are regular church members who have been DBS (police) checked.

Our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 30+ months

Scramblers is our Sunday Group for pre-schoolers aged 30+ months. Doors open at 10:20am (10mins before the service starts) and we will have lots of free play time including playdough, building blocks, cars, trainset, home corner, books and puzzles; then a short talk from the Bible, some singing and a prayer, plus a creative activity.

14-18s Bible study

Come join us for CYFA! We study the Bible together in small groups, seeking to discover what God is saying about life today. If you're not in a CYFA small group just get in touch and we can set you up. It's open to everyone in school years 10-13 (or equivalent), so feel free to invite your mates along too.

You'll find us at 3 Osborne Road at 4.30pm: we'll be at the door to meet you. We wrap up at 6pm in time to enjoy the incredible CYFA Tea together before heading off at 6.30pm. Some folk head home, but a lot of us dash across to church in time for the evening service: why not stick around for that too?
