MORNING SERMON SERIES:
From Easter to Pentecost - 7 weeks that changed the world
Luke 24 - Acts 2
On Good Friday they put Jesus’ dead body in a tomb. On Easter Sunday it was gone, and Jesus was seen risen from the dead. Seven weeks later, 3,000 people turned to him as Lord and Saviour the very first time the news of his cross and resurrection was preached. What gave those first Christians the conviction it was true? What made their witness to Jesus so powerful? And how can we be like them?
EVENING SERMON SERIES:
The God Who Restores - Joel: prophet to a prodigal people
Centuries before Jesus, God used a locust plague, and a prophet called Joel, to wake his Old Testament people up to the dire state of their relationship with him. But Joel didn’t just teach people how the Lord could restore them. He also pointed forward to how Jesus would come to bring people into a new quality of relationship with God – and to how Jesus would come again to make that relationship, and the whole new creation, perfect in the End.
